The game focuses on protagonist Kratos, who has become the new god of War after his defeat of the Olympian god Ares. Betrayed by Zeus due to his actions in God of War 1, Kratos - now aided by the Titan Gaia - attempts to avert his betrayal by by seeking out The Sisters of Fate and changing his destiny.
